Master’s Project by Sarah Taggart (2015)
Art in the Park: Designing an Artist in Residency Program for the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park is a thesis project created for and in conjunction with Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. The project culminated in the creation of an artist in residency (AIR) toolkit that equips staff at the museum to create and replicate this program on an annual basis. The purpose of the project was to give the Klondike the toolset to create this kind of program, and at the same time create even more educational outreach to the city of Seattle. Once created, this program will be amongst the first AIR programs to serve as outreach to a young/ underserved artist community.
