Meredith Clausen, professor of art history and architecture, will present a lecture at the Henry Art Gallery Aug. 18. Paris Disparu: Photos of a Bygone City is scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, in the Henry鈥檚 auditorium.
The 19th century transformation of Paris from medieval city to modern metropolis was recorded by the then new technology of photography. Clausen will discuss photos from the Henry鈥檚 The Old Paris Is No More exhibit.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
