Christopher M. Jordan, a first-year law student at the 痳豆在线, has been selected by Gov. Chris Gregoire as the UW student regent for the coming academic year.

Jordan earned a master鈥檚 degree in public administration from the UW鈥檚 Evans School of Public Affairs in 2012. He also received a bachelor鈥檚 degree in political science in 2010.

Jordan has worked as an outreach coordinator for the Economic Opportunity Institute and as a legislative intern in the office of Sen. Patty Murray. As an undergraduate, he was public relations coordinator for the Associated Students of the 痳豆在线 and served as a resident adviser for housing and food services, as well as being an opinion columnist for The Daily, the UW student newspaper.

Jordan, who is originally from Spokane, also was an intern in the office of Spokane Mayor Mary Verner.
